At the heart of Xenonics is impressive technology.

Xenonics' illumination engine delivers tightly focused, ultra-high intensity beams of visible or infrared light (as well as ultraviolet). In addition, Xenonics' technology produces a beam without the "black hole" that is characteristic of other illumination products. As a result, users can see things at considerable distances (over a mile away) undetected (when using IR), without the dead spot that obstructs the center of the beam. Xenonics utilizes this core technology as the platform for our NightHunter family of products.

Xenonics is not standing still. New products and developments are planned and underway to continue to provide our customers with leading-edge illumination products and capabilities. Currently, Xenonics has eight patents issued or pending, and the company is in the process of filing new patent applications.

The NightHunter line of products consists of the NightHunter, NightHunterII, and the NightHunter EXT. The NightHunter excels in both visible and infrared environments. With visible light, a user with the NightHunter can illuminate a person at 2,400 meters; nearly double the range of conventional spotlights. Utilizing the NightHunter with an IR filter, a person can be illuminated at 1,000 meters.

To meet current and future demands for high intensity illumination systems, Xenonics has an active R&D program for new products, a manufacturing agreement with Los Angeles-based PerkinElmer (PKI), (NYSE) to manufacture the NightHunterII, and a manufacturing facility in Carlsbad, California.
